Kahu Pō was the Keeper of the Night Sky, a navigator who could read the heavens with such precision that before voyages, sailors came to him with questions of weather, currents, safe passage, and return. He answered by arranging small bones around a crescent of bone, recreating the night sky as it would appear on the voyage ahead.

Then one night, he refused to read it. The stars were wrong.

A fishing party found him dead the following morning, his ceremonial headdress still bound around his skull. Beneath his chin hung the crescent and several tiny bones representing the stars.

One of them depicted a star no one recognized and three nights later, it appeared in the sky.

The Shaman’s Lantern includes a life size skull replica, a 15ft. hemp cord with an on/off switch, and one LED flame bulb. You provide the standard Tiki brand torch base, available at any big box store.
